West Virginia State Police and the state’s Alcohol Beverage Control Administration converged on the Cumberland Moose Lodge 271 at Wiley Ford early Thursday evening as part of an investigation into possible gaming violations. The Cumberland Times News reports “This was enforcement activity that was led by West Virginia State Police,” said ABCA spokesman Gig Robinson, who referred the Times-News to Lt. Mike Baylous, public information officer of the West Virginia State Police. Baylous said that officials responded to the Moose Lodge location in response to an “allegation that involved possible gaming violations.” The matter remains under investigation and no one has been charged. Baylous said that an unspecified amount of money was seized “until we can determine whether or not a crime was committed.
