The Herald Mail reports a historical marker signifying the 100th mile of the Mason-Dixon Line along the Maryland-Pennsylvania border has disappeared, seemingly sheered off from its metal stand along Marsh Road. The issue was brought to Herald-Mail Media by nearby resident Marty Amrhein, who lives a couple miles away in Franklin County, Pa. Amrhein said she noticed the sign missing earlier this spring, and attempts to contact the appropriate agency to get it replaced have been unsuccessful. SHA officials are double-checking to verify that the sign is not already in their maintenance shop. If not, having a new sign fabricated and installed would take between eight to 12 weeks, he said.
