The Mineral County Board of Education renewed Superintendent Shawn Dilly's contract for three years Tuesday evening. The Cumberland Times News reports The contract, approved by a 3-2 vote, includes a $3,000 annual salary increase over the three years with the starting salary at $107,000 and topping out at $113,000.
Prior to the vote, board member Kevin Watson said that he agreed to renewing the contract and the salary terms, but not the length of the contract. Also voting against the motion to renew was Lara Courrier.
Earlier in the evening, board members met in executive session with the superintendent for his annual evaluation. Upon returning to open session, Craig Rotruck, the school board president, read a brief statement, saying, “The superintendent has met and/or exceeded all areas of his evaluation.”
