A Meyersdale woman faces criminal charges after police said she threatened a female with a baseball bat after a dispute broke out on Facebook.
Meyersdale police charged Jessica Lynn Thompson, 30, of the 200 block of Large Street with terroristic threats, criminal mischief, disorderly conduct and harassment.
In a criminal complaint, police said a dispute began on Facebook and spilled over to cellphone calls and text messages.
Police allege Thompson showed up at a home in the 200 block of Main Street on Aug. 10, swinging a pink-and-black baseball bat, destroying a flower pot and cursing at a woman.
Thompson was gone when police arrived. She was arrested when she returned to the home and police found the bat inside her vehicle.
Thompson will go before District Judge Douglas Bell of Meyersdale on Sept. 22 to answer the charges.
