Del, Ronnie and Rob McCoury, along with business manager Stan Strickland, were in Cumberland Sunday to announce a five year plan for improvements to the Allegany Fairgrounds for DelFest.
According to the Cumberland Times-News, the announcement involves the addition of amenities, RV hookups and connections to trails. Allegany County Commissioner Creade Brodie, Junior, told the paper that discussions began over the summer, and amusement tax revenue garnered through the festival would provide much of the money to pay for the improvements.
Strickland also announced that Rob McCoury has been named President of McCoury Festivals. DelFest attendees have been asking for more RV hookups for several years.
