A Friday night fire in a mobile home on Cherry Run Road caused severe burns to a male occupant. Firefighters from Allegany, Bedford and Mineral counties were dispatched about 9:15 p.m. to the blaze located off U.S. Route 220 in Bedford County near the state line. The Cumberland Times News reports the victim, who reportedly suffered burns to his head, neck and hands, was flown by Maryland State Police Trooper 5 helicopter to a burn facility. He was transported to the helicopter by Bowman's Addition ambulance.
The fire reportedly destroyed the mobile home.
The Bedford Road company directed firefighting operations.
