Local veteran and the subject of the prominent painting "Reflections," has passed away. Master Sergeant James T. Williams of Corriganville passed away Wednesday at home. Williams retired with more than 20 years of service, attaining the rank of Master Sergeant. Jim followed his military career with 22 years of employment at Allegany College of Maryland. However, what Williams will be most-known for is being "the man at the wall" in Lee Teter's painting "Reflections," depicting a Vietnam veteran visiting the Vietnam Memorial.
Bob Adams, a Vietnam veteran, talked about knowing Williams and serving with him as well.
Friends will be received at the Adams Family Funeral Home on Decatur Street on Friday from 3 to 5 p.m., and 7 to 9 p.m.
