Even though we've had a lot of rain and some snow recently, we've also had some gusty winds to dry things out, and sure enough, there was a brush fire along Westernport Road on Saturday.

Firemen from Potomac Fire Company and several departments giving mutual aid were able to contain the blaze, which acts as a warning of things to come.
