On Thursday, November 13, 2014 at approximately 6:20 a.m., the Cumberland Police Department responded to Pyzanno’s Restaurant located in the 600 block of Greene Street in reference to a break and entering which took place over night. The morning employee who opens the business arrived for his morning shift notified the police when he noticed the damage.
Unknown suspect(s) gained entry to the business by forcing open the rear door. Once inside the suspect damaged a cabinet where the drop safe is located. The safe was stolen and contained an undetermined amount of currency.
The scene is currently being processed by a Technician with the Maryland State Police Crime Lab for any evidence. Security cameras are in place and are also being reviewed for suspect development.
