How much snow did we get? Well, it depends on where you live. Generally, in the Cumberland area two and a half feet of snow was the standard ballpark figure, while in Garrett County, totals of three to four feet were reported. Those figures were gathered by the National Weather Service offices in the region.
As you know, the heavy snow was not limited to just our area. Again, the official amounts vary from town to town, but there was a general 30 inch depth reported in Baltimore, 20 inches in Washington, and amounts up to three feet in the areas of Hagerstown and Frederick, along with many locations in West Virginia.
