Although there’s nothing official yet, WCBC News has learned that there will soon be a vacancy at Allegany County District Court.
Judge Edward Malloy, who began his time on the bench 16 years ago this month, is expected to retire as he is approaching the mandatory retirement age of 70.
Governor Larry Hogan will make the appointment, eventually. We spoke with media contacts with the courts yesterday, who said that the opening had not been posted yet.
