Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan on Friday vetoed a measure that would change how decisions are made about transportation projects. In a letter to House Speaker Michael Busch, Hogan called it bad policymaking and a potential violation of the state constitution. "I have said repeatedly that every decision I make will be put to a simple test: Will this law or action make it easier for families and small businesses to stay in Maryland, and will it make more families and businesses want to come to Maryland," Hogan wrote. "This bill miserably fails the simple test."
Because of the timing of the bill's votes and veto, the General Assembly could vote to override Hogan's veto before the end of the legislative session
