Republican gubernatorial hopeful Larry Hogan made a campaign swing through western Maryland earlier this month- hoping to become better known in some of the state’s rural areas. Hogan made appearances in Cumberland, Oakland, Hagerstown and Frederick. He said it was his first trip to the mostly rural, largely conservative region since he formally announced his candidacy in January. Hogan’s schedule included an afternoon keynote speech at the opening of a new Allegany County Republican Party office in Cumberland. Hogan began the “Change Maryland” organization which he says has proven a tremendous success- demonstrating that people are not happy with the status quo in Annapolis…
