Hogan Concerned Protests May Mean Rise in Coronavirus Cases

Maryland Governor Larry Hogan acknowledged this week that he has some concerns about protests sparked by the death of George Floyd potentially leading to a spike in coronavirus cases.  Hogan, who chairs the National Governor’s Association, has started lifting statewide coronavirus restrictions put in place to mitigate the spread of the coronavirus as the state had met metrics for being able to reopen, including a decrease in hospitalizations and increase in testing. Appearing on CNN’s “Face the Nation” program, Hogan said time will tell as to the impact the large rallies have on the state’s COVID numbers…

    So, it is OK that they are burning down our cities and police stations but the thought that the poor dears might get sick has our governor concerned.

      That’s not what he’s saying. You are conflating 2 different things. Crowds of people in close contact – many not wearing masks – is very likely to spread the virus. Have you forgotten about 105K+ dead souls?
