The day after it was announced that Shawn Hershberger would be leaving his position as executive director of the Cumberland Economic Development Corporation- he was a guest on WCBC’s “Dave Norman Show” to discuss his decision and its impact. Hershberger, who has accepted a job in Winchester Virginia leaves at a time when the CEDC is in various stages of progress with a number of key projects. Most notably the Rolling Mill project which is in the process of being converted from a residential neighborhood to a commercial development area.  A developer is in the process of taking that project over and Hershberger is optimistic it will come to fruition despite some opposition from about a dozen property owners….
