I think this is wonderful news. However it doesn’t mean going back to doing as we want to do. We must follow the guidelines. Blessings to all.

Hate to be a Debbie Downer but only 300 have been tested. Until all or more can be tested we’ll never really know. I suspect there are some cases out there I certainly hope not though but the laws of statistics are never wrong. We shall see.

I still say that it just doesn’t add up, I’ve heard so many call on the scanner and they all have the symptoms, high fever. cough, low oxygen levels can’t breath..etc.. Then they get tested and it comes back negative ? SO what DO THEY HAVE ????????

> Chris, I’d like to think we can rely on our own health care professionals. I have difficulty believing that they would knowingly provide bad information – because they need to maintain credibility.
What did those people you heard about have? Now that’s something which is kept private.
One thing I am sure of, it would be impossible to keep a covid19 patient a secret, given how many people in our local medical community would know about this.
Let’s keep the conspiracy theories out of this crisis. Lord knows there’s enough bad information being intentionally injected into the discussion.

If they want credibility they need to be open as to what group/demographic is getting these tests. And that can be done WITHOUT violating any HEPA rules- they can just state they are checking the front line health workers & first responders, which would make sense. Otherwise something is fishy about these numbers. If they are testing people WITH COVID type symptoms it’s beyond odd there’s not a single case out of 228. Much more likely they are testing themselves, family, friends, cronies, etc first and the public be damned.

We have no cases because unless ur on ur deathbed or hospitalized u will not be tested. So I’m sure that’s why we have no cases when very few tests. I went to hospital sunday night with symptoms and told it’s just a virus stay home 14 days and given an inhaler but no test. I was furious! And when I became upset with the dr she was rude as hell. I understand the stress and I’m grateful for these workers out helping our community. But if we really wanna be effective we need to be tested!

Chris: AS a critical Care RN, and 38 yrs. on the job, People panic. They could have the flu, bronchitis, asthma or just a cold or just allergies. I’m not saying people aren’t sick but use common sense. Call your physician or go to one of the clinics. But first treat at home and if no better than proceed to a medical facility. The people you spoke of apparently didn’t have the virus.
There is no reason for the Health Dept to give out false information. They don’t want the virus to spread, so far we have no reported cases. So if someone did test positive Yes we’d know because people they were in contact with would have to be evaluated THAT is how you follow the guide lines

> Carolyn, Thank you for everything you are doing. I know being a nurse is demanding enough even in times where you are not taking your own life at risk. Please stay safe, we need you.
