The Cumberland Times News reports a Hardy County man has been charged with second-degree murder in the death of 22-year-old Bobby Lee Shoemaker, who was struck and killed July 10 as he walked along Welton Orchard Road. On Friday, Joshua Edmund Evans, 33, of Old Fields, was arrested Friday and charged with the felony offense following investigation by the Grant County Sheriff’s Office. The Times reports Evans remained jailed Tuesday in the Potomac Highlands Regional Jail on $350,000 full cash bond set by Grant County Magistrate Emory Feaster Jr.
