On 07/18/2015 a Cumberland City Police officers served a criminal summons on a Cumberland man for harassment and trespassing charges.  The charges stem from a private citizen complaint which was filed at the Allegany County District Court on July 6, 2015.  Court documents indicate that suspect Jason Lawrence Scroggins, 38, of Cumberland harassed the victim between the dates of July 2nd and July 3, 2015 by making repeated phone calls to their home and threatening them during those calls. Scoggins also allegedly attempted to contact the victim in this case at their home in person after being asked not to do so.  As a result the following charges were filed against Scroggins:

 

Harass: A Course of Conduct – 1 count

Trespass: Private Property 1 – count

Telephone Misuse: Repeat Calls – 1 count

 

Scroggins was served with the charges and released pending trial at District Court.
