Residents of Maryland and West Virginia joined hands over the James Rumsey Bridge over the Potomac River near Sharpsburg Saturday to urge Governor Larry Hogan to stop TransCanada from building a pipeline under the river to act as a conduit for natural gas obtained by fracking.

The group included politicians, landowners, and environmentalists.
