For the third consecutive year, Maryland Governor Larry Hogan has introduced legislation that would establish a nonpartisan commission to redraw state legislative districts. Maryland’s been singled out “for having some of the worst, most-gerrymandered and unfair congressional districts in the nation,” Hogan said, “and our state legislative districts are even worse.” Gerrymandering is the term used to describe how congressional and legislative districts are drawn to give one party an advantage. Hogan said that while there is widespread support for the concept- unfortunately the democratic leadership in Annapolis is once again ready to stand in the way….
