Maryland Governor Larry Hogan, despite top lawmakers saying otherwise, is optimistic about sports betting passing during this legislative session. Such a bill wouldn't take effect immediately–it would have to be ratified by voters–but that goes against the take last week from Senate President Mike Miller, who said the bill would have to wait until next year.
