ACPS reports that the lock in has been lifted

INITIAL REPORT:

George's Creek Elementary School and Westmar Middle School are currently in LOCK IN as the result of police activity in the area. During a LOCK IN, school security is increased while retaining the ability to continue to operate normally within the building. All outside activities are suspended until the lock-in is lifted. 

A WCBC listener has informed us of police with automatic weapons on Route 936, as well as the presence of the police helicopter.
