Gas prices have declined slightly on the week, and it is possible that prices have begun to stabilize as refineries increase production to meet record-high demand. Today’s national average price of $2.21 per gallon represents a decrease of one cent per gallon on the week but an increase of 13 cents on the month. The average in Cumberland is jusr $2,13 a gallon…up just a cent from a week a go The state average at $2.23 per gallon is three cents less than last week’s price. Maryland’s average is 15 cents higher than last month, but as is the trend across the country, the average is 41 cents less than last year’s average on this date
