Gas prices continue to trend higher than this time last year, and while the national average cost continues to rise, Maryland’s average has remained relatively stagnant over the week at the $2.28-$2.29 per gallon range. Maryland’s average cost is five cents higher than the national average at $2.28 per gallon, which remains unchanged from last week, but is nine cents higher than last month’s price and 25 cents more than the cost on this date last year.
