The City of Cumberland Engineering Department would like to notify the public on the behalf of Columbia Gas of Maryland that for the entire month of June and July, there will be construction performed on the following streets:

George Street

Harrison Street

South Centre Street

South Liberty Street

Dexter’s Place

Union Street

Pershing Street

At intermittent times, roads will be closed or flagged to safely facilitate construction. Future press releases will be issued to notify the public of full road closures. All roads in the project limits are expected to be open to traffic at the end of each work day and on weekends.

Construction is expected to last approximately 8 weeks.

On Thursday, 6/4/2020, Dexter’s Place shall be closed from 7am-5pm, from South Centre Street to George Street to allow for underground utilities to be replaced.
