The snow emergency plan was lifted in Garrett County Saturday afternoon, ending a stretch of days with poor road conditions due to snow and high winds.

A woman was killed in a mishap near Accident when the weather initially turned bad midweek, while a truck driver died Friday after losing control on Route 495 in Bittinger. There were other non fatal mishaps, too.
