Fifth-ranked Frostburg defeated No. 6 Wesley on Saturday and on Sunday, the New Jersey Athletic Conference handed out weekly awards to a pair of Bobcat players.
Senior tailback Jamaal Morant was named the league's Offensive Player of the Week and first-year linebacker Diron Accoo was named the Defensive Rookie of the Week.
Morant carried the ball 30 times for 162 yards in the win over the Wolverines, including the game-winning touchdown with just 2:34 remaining in the fourth quarter. His 30 carries are the most in a game by any player in the NJAC this fall and he currently leads the conference in rushing yards per game (98.8).
Accoo returned to his home state of Delaware and recorded two tackles and a key interception in the first quarter that he returned for 17 yards. It was his first career interception and was one of three for the Bobcats on the afternoon.
Frostburg returns to action on Saturday when it hosts William Paterson at 1:00 pm.
