Students, community members and public officials are invited to participate in a series of Democratic Engagement Town Hall Meetings focused on local, state and national issues facing students today. The first Town Hall Meeting will be held on Tuesday, March 24, at 6 p.m. in Frostburg State University’s Lane University Center. This meeting will focus on local issues at the city and county level. It is free and open to the public. The Town Hall Meeting series aims to create a respectful conversation about current issues and how governments and the democratic process can be engaged to create positive change. The series is hosted by FSU’s J. Glenn Beall Institute for Public Affairs and the Office of Civic Engagement. Future Town Hall Meetings will be held on Tuesday, April 7, and Tuesday, April 28, and will cover state and national Issues, respectively.
