On Saturday, officers from the Cumberland City Police Department responded to 320 Frederick Street for a domestic assault.
Upon the officers arrival they made contact with a female victim. Officers learned from the victim that she was involved in an argument with Sean Williams. During the argument, Williams is alleged to have picked up a remote control and threw it at the victim striking her in the head. Williams is also said to have picked up a golf club and threatened the victim with it. Multiple items belonging to the victim were allegedly destroyed by Williams during the altercation.
As a result of this incident, officers placed Mr. Williams under arrest and transported him to the Cumberland City Police Department for processing. Officers learned later that Williams had an active warrant for his arrest out of West Virginia. Williams was taken before the District Court Commissioner and held on $9,500. The warrant out of West Virginia was also logged as a detainer.
