In a recent interview with WCBC News Maryland Comptroller Peter Franchot talked of his continued concern for the state’s economy as well as his enthusiasm for the governor’s emphasis on making government more customer friendly. Although a democrat, Franchot has enjoyed a far better relationship with republican governor Larry Hogan than he did with Hogan’s democratic predecessor Martin O’Malley. He says the governor has taken the right approach in his first two years by avoiding tax and fee hikes- actually moving in the opposite direction. While there have been some encouraging signs with the state’s economy, Franchot stills describes it as being fragile…
