Fort Hill Athletic Director Amber Waltz announced today that this afternoon's Sentinels football game against Archbishop Curley in Baltimore has been postponed.
The game was originally scheduled as a night game, but had been moved up to a 3:30 afternoon start as a result of impending weather issues. WCBC News has learned that school officials are working to re-schedule, but nothing has been finalized.
Because football teams are limited to playing one game per week, if the game cannot be rescheduled this weekend, or perhaps Monday, the game will not be played because the Fort Hill schedule has no remaining open dates.
The game was not put on the schedule until late August, and was added only after a game with Avalon had to be cancelled when the Maryland Public Secondary Schools Athletic Association would not sanction that opponent.
