State Senator George Edwards met with Maryland Senate President Mike Miller last week concerning an agenda that would benefit the counties of Rural Maryland.
Edwards tells WCBC News that Miller was very receptive to an idea that would change the way the state reimburses Allegany and Garrett counties for land that it controls here that are off the tax rolls…
The Edwards proposal, if approved, would see a formula that would generate about $1.7 million for Allegany County and $2.2 million for Garrett County annually.
