Bart Mazer, the former Mountain Ridge Teacher who was served an indictment on a charge of having sexual contact with a second female student last week, has posted bond was released from custody Friday.
The indictment charges Mazer with Third Degree Sexual Offense. He faces a preliminary hearing on December 2nd in Allegany County Circuit Court.
Mazer has been suspended without pay by the Allegany County Board of Education, which is conducting an internal investigation into how the matter was handled.
The Allegany County Board of Education has obtained additional legal counsel for an internal investigation of the circumstances surrounding the charging of a Mountain Ridge teacher with inappropriate contact with a student while she was a student at the school
