The Maryland State Highway Administration (SHA) advises motorists that westbound I-68 exit 43B to southbound MD 51 (Industrial Boulevard) in Cumberland will be closed from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Tuesday, November 13 and Wednesday, November 14.

Motorists should follow the posted detour, which will direct traffic to use exit 43C, the downtown/Harrison Street exit.

The ramp closure is necessary for safety reasons due to work scheduled on the Footer Dye Works Building.  Workers will be using a 125-foot lift to perform masonry repairs on Howard Street, adjacent to the ramp.
