The report was brief, but officials say the $9 million Footer's Dye Works Building renovation is moving forward. Developer Michael Joy provided an update during this week’s meeting of the Canal Place Preservation and Development Authority and said that although the weather has slowed the schedule a bit- progress is being made with the Dig Deep Brewery which will be located on the first floor of the Footer building. Doug Reed of the Maryland Historical Trust also sits on the Canal Place authority. He says the delay in the brewery development centered on the cold weather not allowing for concrete to be poured- but with temperature warming- things can now get back on track.
