Northeastern Mineral County in eastern West Virginia... * Until 645 PM EDT Monday. * At 1242 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain which will cause flooding. Up to one inch of rain has already fallen. * Some locations that may experience flooding include... Cumberland, Frostburg, Keyser, Westernport, Bel Air, La Vale, Lonaconing, Piedmont, Ridgeley, Cresaptown, Potomac Park, Wiley Ford, Eckhart Mines, Rawlings, Barton, Midland, Franklin, Woodland, Dogwood Flats and Reynolds. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.

A FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 115 AM EDT FOR NORTHWESTERN ALLEGANY AND NORTHEASTERN MINERAL COUNTIES... At 816 PM EDT, the Allegany County 911 Center reported several roads closed in Cumberland due to high water. Doppler radar estimates that 1 to 3 inches of rain has fallen across the area, and this will cause creeks and streams to rise this evening. Some locations that may experience flooding include... Cumberland, Frostburg, Bel Air, La Vale, Fort Ashby, Ridgeley, Cresaptown, Potomac Park, Wiley Ford, Eckhart Mines, Mount Savage, Rawlings, Ellerslie, Corriganville, Spring Gap, Patterson Creek, Pinto, Short Gap, North Branch and Brady.
