The Cumberland Economic Development Corporation and the Downtown Development Commission recently released a joint announcement on the hiring of Frederick-based Cochran Studios to create new design plans for the downtown mall. The firm has been retained to prepare a streetscape design and public art plan for the Baltimore Street Redevelopment Project- which is highlighted by plans to create a single lane of vehicular and bicycle traffic along the current pedestrian mall.
