The Mineral County Fair wraps up its 70th year Saturday putting a cap on a week packed with trucks, cowboys and some of the region’s best musical entertainment. Grandstand attractions include bull riding and barrel racing, a truck pull, demolition derby and two nights of the four wheel drive Mud Bog. The Fort Ashby Volunteer Fire Company sponsors the fair

The Black Horse Country Band from the Wheeling Jamboree will round out fair week with their classic country sounds on Saturday, June 20, with shows at 7 and 9 p.m. along with the super stock and super modified classes of the Mud Bog at the track. The 4-H Pony Express Horse Show is set for Saturday at 9 a.m. at the outside arena on the state Route 28 side of the fairgrounds. The grand feature parade will line up beginning at 3 p.m. Saturday on Dan’s Run Road. The parade will start at 4 p.m.
