Some explosive new developments in the Allegany County Board of Education’s effort to remove Wayne Foote from the board- with the revelation that one of the accusations of inappropriate conduct against Foote comes from a fellow board member. At a special meeting late last week, the outgoing board voted to request the state remove Foote for willful neglect of duty and misconduct- referencing acts of intimation and harassment; numerous instances of inappropriate conduct; and breaching board confidentiality. Foote, who previously had declined to comment, is now speaking on the record about the situation with WCBC News. Accompanied by his attorney, George Mac McKinley, Foote maintains that the charges and accusations are false and he plans to fight any attempt to have him removed from the board.
