11/16/19 at approximately 2235 hours, Troopers from the McHenry Barracks responded to Rt 219 @ S South Street in Accident, MD for a motor vehicle collision. Upon arrival, a single vehicle was found fully engulfed in flames against a tree. It was found that the vehicle was traveling northbound on Rt 219 when it failed to navigate a left turn, and traveled off the roadway, striking a tree. The driver, and sole occupant, was entrapped due to the collision and the vehicle immediately caught fire. Due to the severity of the collision, a positive ID has not been made on the driver. The driver was transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for identification. This incident is under further investigation by TFC. Rodeheaver.
