Robert Farrell, a retired Maryland State Police officer and current candidate for a seat on the Allegany County Board of Education, tells WCBC News he still has an active lawsuit pending against the school board and the superintendent. Farrell retired in 2002 from the Maryland State Police- and he was ultimately selected security director for the school system. His wife Lorelee passed away In November- just a year after being elected to the school board. She also worked for the school system as health supervisor. Both were eventually separated from their employment- leading to each filing a lawsuit against the board of education claiming unjust termination. Farrell said he cannot elaborate on the case- saying only that he expects the case to be resolved prior to this year’s general election…
