West Virginia Governor Earl Ray Tomblin yesterday officiated over the re-introduction of elk to the southern part of the Mountain State.
Tomblin says he hopes the elk program may lead to additional tourism and, perhaps, one day an elk hunting season…
There was a proposal to reintroduce elk to Garrett County a few years ago, but it was rejected by the county commissioners in that county.
