Egle Nursing and Rehab Center in Lonaconing is celebrating its 42nd anniversary of serving citizens of the tri-state area this year- and one highlight will be another expansion at the facility. Founded on July 11, 1977, by Jerry and Vera Egle, the original facility was a 24-bed nursing home and was known as Egle Nursing Home. In 1992, Egle Nursing Home underwent a major renovation and expansion up to 60 licensed beds. The facility became a fully licensed skilled nursing facility that provided on-site rehabilitation services at that time and again expanded up to 66 licensed beds.
