Early Morning Drug Bust Lands WV Man in Jail

Early Monday, at approximately 12:30 AM, deputies of the Allegany County Sheriff's Office were on patrol on I68 near Frostburg when they stopped a vehicle for traffic violations. A probable cause search was established and, pursuant to the investigation, deputies located a quantity of suspected cocaine. The operator of the vehicle, Timothy William Cook-35 years old of Kingmont WV, was arrested and charged with the following:

 
Possession with Intent to Distribute Narcotic
Possession Schedule II Narcotic
CDS Import into State
 
A sum of US Currency as well as 2 hypodermic needles were seized along with the cocaine. 
 
Cook was taken before a District Court Commissioner and ordered held without bond at the Allegany County Detention Center.
