The driver of a passenger vehicle was killed Thursday when the vehicle collided with a Mineral County school bus. No students were on board and the bus driver was not injured, Mineral County Sheriff Jeremy Taylor said the two-vehicle accident occurred near the Tanglewood subdivision off U.S. Route 50 near New Creek shortly after 8 a.m. The unidentified victim was pronounced dead at the scene. The Cumberland Times News reports Keyser and New Creek fire and rescue units responded to the scene along with the sheriff's department following alert by the Mineral County 911 emergency center.
The sheriff's office is continuing to investigate the accident.
