On Sunday evening Cpl. J.M. Dowden and Deputy C. Hill responded to the Frostburg area for a check on well-being call, of a 90 year old female. The son, who resides out of town, had been unable to make contact with his mother by phone for several days.
When deputies arrived on the scene they received no answer at the residence and was unable to observe anyone through the windows. The front door to the residence was found unlocked and due to the circumstances elected to enter the residence.
Upon entering the living room area the announced their presence and heard a muffled voice coming from an adjacent room. Upon enter the hallway; deputies observed the elderly female lying on the bathroom floor, pinned between the toilet and a wall.
Cpl. Dowden and Deputy Hill were able to remove her from the pinned position and carried her to the living room. The 911 center was contacted and Frostburg Area Ambulance was dispatched to that location. It was unknown how long the female subject had fallen but appears that she could have been at this location for over a day. She was transported to WMRMC.
