Representatives from the DelFest organization have notified Allegany County that a multi-year contract is no longer an option on the table- and they are now focused on  a year to year arrangement  The talks have been on a bit of a roller coaster, with an announcement last December that a five year contract had been agreed to, only to have that contradicted within days.  Since then, both parties have stated they expect a deal to be finalized in short order, only for the process to drag on. Allegany County Commissioner Bill Valentine confirmed to WCBC that the talk has shifted to a one year arrangement; however the goal remains eventually coming to terms on a five year deal…..
