Earlier this month, Cumberland Police responded to a business in the 400 block of Maryland Avenue for a theft complaint.
The officer arrived and spoke to employees about the theft. A suspect was developed and later interviewed at a residence in the 200 block of South Central Avenue. The suspect was charged and received a criminal summons through District Court.
On Friday, the same officer responded to serve the summons on the suspect. At that time the suspect signed his name different then what he had originally told the officer. After further investigation the officer learned the suspect had provided a false name during the theft investigation and then signed his real name on the summons.
The officer was able to verify the suspect as Diamonte Elijah Green. The officer filed for additional charges through District Court.
On Saturday, an arrest warrant was served on Green. He was taken before a District Court Commissioner and released on an unsecured $2,500.00 bond.

Honestly it is our local judges. They pick and choose who they prosecute. Our main issue is our locals and the fact they get a slap on the wrist for everything. How do u fight a war of crime and drugs when we allow it in our city by not punishing them Ever!

Yea, it’s not like any local white trash ever commits a crime or does drugs!Let’s keep blaming “out of towners AKA “blacks” and things will get better. Been working great so far!!
