On Friday at 1:14pm an Officer with the Cumberland Police Dept observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation. The Officer performed a traffic stop on the vehicle and contacted the operator and passenger. The Officer observed the occupants to be acting in a nervous manner and requested a K-9 respond to the scene. A K-9 from the Maryland State Police arrived on the scene and performed a free air sniff on the vehicle alerting to the presence of illegal narcotics. A probable cause search of the vehicle was conducted with officers locating a small amount of a suspected controlled dangerous substance. As a result Officers placed 26 year old Sabrina Forbes of Cumberland under arrest. Forbes was transported to Police Headquarters where she was charged with possession of CDS not marihuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Forbes was taken for an initial appearance at District Court where she was held on a 44,000 bond pending her next court appearance.
