On March 14, 2019, the Cumberland City Police served an Arrest Warrant on Kerri Fisher, age 29, of Cumberland, Maryland. The Warrant stemmed from a March 12, 2019 assault investigation. During the March 12th incident, officers from the Cumberland Police responded to a Park Street business for an assault. When officers arrived they spoke to a victim who advised that Fisher entered the business and began assaulting her. The altercation was then broken up and Fisher was escorted from the business. After the initial incident, another victim had gone to see if Fisher had left the property. At this time Fisher then began assaulting a second victim until the physical altercation was again broken up. Prior to the police arriving on the scene Fisher had fled the area. Officers investigating the incident observed minor injuries to the victims and gathered other evidence related to the case.
The investigating officer filled an Application for Charges on Fisher through District Court. Subsequently, an Arrest Warrant was issued charging Fisher with three counts of second degree assault and one count of disorderly conduct. Fisher was served with the Arrest Warrant and transported to District court for her Initial Appearance. She was then released on her personal recognizance pending trial.
